The Dog Divide

Cheapest 5 · Priciest 5

Same tube of beef. Same bun. $3.07 at one park, $8.00 at another. Here's who still believes in the working-class frank — and who doesn't.

How We Count A Hot Dog

The Glizzy Standard
The Standard Dog

Cheapest plain all-beef frank (~6 inches, standard bun) at a main concession stand. Standard price only — no promos, no footlongs, no gourmet. A $5 dog in St. Pete measures the same as a $5 dog in St. Louis.

The 4-Agent Cross-Check
  1. Sourcer — finds a citable price from a published source
  2. Verifier — hunts an independent second source
  3. Skeptic — flags anomalies and outliers
  4. Reconciler — writes the final row. Then a human reviews.
Confidence Levels
  • Verified — two sources agree
  • Reported — one source, plausible
  • Crowdsourced — submitted, awaiting review
  • Needs Review — flagged for update

Promos flagged separately. Never used as the headline price.

21 of 30 parks have verified 2025 prices. The other 9 show no YoY — see methodology.
